The Atlantic Firth Scottish dance band, led by accordionist Alastair MacDonald and fiddler Karen Steven — both originally from Caithness, Scotland — has released a new 15-track CD of traditional Scottish country dance music. The album, titled ‘Ready, and…’, was recorded over the summer in Petawawa, at MacDonald’s home studio. 

The band features fellow Scot Ian Clark on guitar, now based in Ottawa, and Ottawa Valley native John Mitchell on piano, rounding out their dynamic lineup.
